In high school, everyone looked the same. Same shoes. Same socks. Same awful skirt. Same shirt. There was no point in fixing you hair, doing you make up or accessorizing.
This morning at 7:50 a.m. as I awaited the bus's slow arrival, I could not help but notice how my shorts and neon yellow tank top seemed to clash with other girls prim and proper attire. Like how prim? you ask. Well, for example, a girl prances to the bus stop in a knee length, strapless pale cream dress. Her dyed blonde hair straightened to perfection and a headband is donned with a green fake flower on the side of it. I wanted to grab a watering can and sprinkle some moisture on her head, but held back the impulse.
To be honest, they are lucky that I brush my teeth and slap on some make up to hide my horrendous circles. Maybe I'm the one that needs to change my wardrobe. I just can't see being so dressed up for class comfortable for the four hours that you are on campus. Not to mention all the walking around campus that you do!
Bleh. Not for me. I'll take my shorts and t-shirts, thank you very much.
